Character and Vault Viewer Content Information

In addition to data packages for character creation, Hero Lab Online now offers access to certain books in our Vault Viewer, featuring complete text of the book, in-depth linking, pop-out tables, favorites, and robust search features.

The library of books available in the Vault Viewer is still expanding, so only select books are available at this time, with more coming soon. Individual book purchases that include Vault Viewer access indicate this with icons:

Vault Viewer Paizo PDF Requirements

To view certain portions in the Vault Viewer, a linked Paizo account and ownership of the corresponding PDF is required. You may purchase the Vault Viewer content without owning the PDF, but portions requiring PDF ownership will not be viewable.

When applicable, Vault Viewer items indicate the relative portion of content restricted by PDF ownership. Bundles including Vault Viewer content identify these portions on the individual packages.

File Security Type

Downloadable content for Realm Works can be secured in a few different ways, depending on the nature of the material. Below is a summary of these different methods and how the secured content is ultimately used:

None – Content with no security can be freely imported into any realm by any user. The downloaded file has no restrictions imposed on its use.
Password – When password security is employed, the content is encrypted using a password. Any user with the appropriate password can import the content into any realms desired.
Account – Account-level security ties the content to a specific user account and it enforced entirely under the covers. The user to whom the content is tied can import it into any realms desired, while all other users will encounter an error when attempting to import the content.

File Security Type
